Fishing black bass in tidal rivers can be challenging unless you know the river really well. To help anglers identify good spots for black bass fishing, the department is making available annually updated maps showing where black bass are caught during the department's fall surveys and digitized maps from older editions of Fishing in Maryland wherein black bass charter boat guides have identified good fishing spots for black bass. These map layers, while specific to black bass, also help identify fishing spots for other structure oriented, freshwater fishes. These layers are off by default; click the Map Layers tab to turn them on.
